Medland Manor was built at the beginning of the 20th century although there has been a substantial dwelling on the site for many hundreds of years.

In fact, Mideland Manor was mentioned in the Dooms Day book, as shown in the image below.

Christine and Peter bought the estate in 1996 as a "retirement hobby" and have had great fun improving the house and garden over the years. The Manor is also home to their two Great Danes, called Bert and Daisy. (Guests who may be nervous around dogs have nothing to worry about, however, since the Garden House is a completely enclosed private property separate from the Manor.)
